The historic centre of Siena has been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. Siena is famous for its cuisine, art, museums, medieval cityscape and the controversial Palio, a horse race held twice a year. In summer I like to visit the Piazze del Campo. A nice place to sit in a café to enjoy ice-cream and various sorts of italian coffee. As a takeaway, you should buy Panforte or Ricciarelli biscuits, made from almond paste.
The “Torre del Mangia” offers you a nice panoramic view over the city. Take a walk through the small roads of Siena!
